MUSC Children’s Health urologists offer a comprehensive selection of services, including pre-natal consultations, inpatient and outpatient consultation services, and surgical procedures.

Pediatric urology specifically manages genital and urinary problems that occur in children with developmental problems affecting the kidneys, bladder, urethra or genital tract.

The 2016–17 edition of U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Children's Hospitals has ranked MUSC Children's Hospital as a "best hospital" for pediatric urology, placing it among the top 30 programs in the country.

Bladder Exstrophy

The MUSC Children’s Health Bladder Exstrophy team treats children whose bladder muscles haven’t developed as they should. It is a condition that requires staged surgical procedures.

Kidney Stone Program

MUSC Children’s Health urologists and nephrologists work together to care for children with kidney stones. We offer the complete spectrum of medical and surgical therapy for stone disease.

Prenatal Urology Program

MUSC Children’s Health has experts skilled at caring for babies diagnosed during a pregnancy with urologic issues. We guide parents throughout their pregnancy and establish a plan for after delivery.

Voiding Improvement Program

The Voiding Improvement Program (VIP) at MUSC Children’s Health assists children with a multitude of urinary tract and voiding diagnoses. The VIP aims to improve voiding dysfunction and quality of life.

Disorders and Anomalies of the Penis:

  • Buried penis
  • Epispadias
  • Hypospadias
  • Penile adhesions, extra foreskin, tight foreskin, circumcision revision
  • Penile curvature (chordee), twisting of the foreskin (penile torsion)

Disorders and Anomalies of the Testicle:

  • Hydroceles, inguinal hernias
  • Testicular masses or tumors
  • Testicular torsion
  • Undescended testes, retractile testes

Disorders and Anomalies of Female Genitalia:
