Investigational Telehealth Treatment for Anxiety in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and anxiety are invited to participate in a research study evaluating a telehealth treatment for anxiety.

What therapy is being studied?

  • We are studying an adaptation of CALM (Coaching Approach behavior and Leading by Modeling), a caregiver-led treatment program for anxiety in young children.
  • Our therapists coach caregivers in strategies to help anxious kids.
  • Therapy includes 12 one-hour sessions to take place weekly in your home via telehealth.

Who can participate?

To be included in this study, participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Child is between the ages of 4 years and 8 years
  • Child has elevated symptoms of anxiety
  • Child has an autism diagnosis
  • Caregiver has access to a computer, tablet, or phone with a camera and Wi-Fi access
