Morning Reports

Morning report is organized by the Pediatric Chief Residents. It is held at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Every Friday, there is Grand Rounds. All residents working in the Peds ED are encouraged to attend unless they are needed to take care of patients in the ED. Residents will be requested by the chiefs to discuss interesting patients from the ED so please discuss those patients/diagnoses with the chiefs in order to prepare for the presentations. Faculty are present at Morning Report to aid in the discussions. It is a great learning environment for all.

Faculty are scheduled to give lectures during noon conference every day of the week. Topics and speakers are announced in Morning Report and lunch is provided. Again, all ED residents are encouraged to attend unless patient care supersedes. Attendings in the ED will make every effort to allow time for you to attend all teaching conferences but please be understanding if the ED is just too busy.
